That's what our members have to say:
- I am more productive working in a shared workplace than other solutions such as working at home, in a coffee shop, etc. I find it distraction free. Also, other productive workers around help me be more productive.
- West Seattle Coworking supports my mental health needs. Having an executive workspace outside of my home to go to gives me more reasons to get up, dress professionally, and start and end work on time. The background buzz of the office environment helps me engage in work quicker. I can be more mindful of my work. Also, Seeing other people from the neioghborhood working near me provides me with variety in my social interactions.
- Coming here allows for better work-life balance. When at the workspace, I can focus on getting work done without worrying about getting house chores accomplished. Then, when I’m at home, I can focus on relationships, home chores, and relaxation. It has allowed me to reclaim my home guilt-free. And since the coworking space is minutes from my home i can easily go home for a short break and then return to productivity. I get more done here in a few hours than all day at home.
- I love the 24/7 access. I can work away from home during the hours that fit the needs of my family and myself. More than once i was interrupted at other estabilishments because they were closing down and i was still in the middle of work. I work east coast hours and before coworking I had to scramble to find suitable places open at 5 am.
- It is more affordable than leasing an office, or than constantly buying food or drinks to be able to work in a coffee shop. I also love that it is month to month.
- It is easier to show as a tax write-off than working in a home office, library, or coffee shop. And the location is incredibly convenient. My company has an office downtown. I thought I could work from there given it's a short commute with the bridge open. After a month commuting downtown, parking, weird encounters, accidents etc, I have realized i am happier here where I only have a 5-minute commute within my own neighborhood. Life is too short.
- I love the variety of workspaces available. i can sit in different places based on my mood and workload. By the window, close to people, away from people, etc. It offers me private spaces where I can close the door to have a phone call and a communal work space, a breakroom, a kitchen area, and conference rooms where I can connect with team members and clients.
- It makes me feel and look more professional when teleconferencing with colleagues or clients.
- It‘s much safer and secure than other options outside of my house. I don’t have to pack up everything if I decide to use the restroom or to take a walk, run an errand, etc. I like that the doors are always locked and only authorized people can access the coworking office. I also don't have to beat others to the punchline to secure a spot near an outlet or where the wifi signal is stonger as I used to do when i worked from other "free" resources.
- I love the location. I get to experience West Seattle more. I am just happier here where i feel I belong. I hesitated for a while because i thought I should have been able to work from home, but this is much better. Working at home was costing me more in terms of productivity (and stress) than the monthly membership fee I pay here.
